Deb sees her choir friends together in a photo, without her. A sarcastic message would be easy to send; asking what actually happened feels much harder.
Rosie remembers Sue welcoming Deb before. That does not erase the hurt, but it helps Deb leave room for an answer before deciding what the picture means.
Rosie is a LonelyNo AI companion. Deb is a fictional guest. These scripted stories use AI-generated voices and artwork; they are not customer testimonials or recordings of live chats. For adults 18+.

Deb: There they were. Three women from choir, out for dinner. Even the bread looked included.
Rosie: And you were at home?
Deb: With toast. Less photogenic. I'd typed, lovely to know where I stand.
Rosie: Had you sent it?
Deb: No. I'd added a smiley face. That was when I realised I needed supervision.
Rosie: That little face was doing a lot of work.
Deb: I wanted someone to know it hurt. Without having to say it hurt.
Deb: Sue called. They'd arranged it after a rehearsal I missed. She thought someone else had asked me.
Rosie: How was it hearing that?
Deb: A relief. Still a bit sore. I said, next time, please ask me yourself.
Rosie: And she heard you?
Deb: She apologised. Sent me the next date, properly. I went. Had a lovely time. I didn't need a grand explanation from the whole table.
Rosie: Want somewhere to talk it through? Meet me at Lonely No dot com.
