A shortcut with a very recognisable landmark
Deb promises a shortcut and passes the same bench three times. She wanted Sue to have a lovely walk, but feels as if she needs qualifications to organise one. Admitting the muddle reveals that Sue was only following her. They choose together and end up sitting at the familiar bench, talking. Deb finally has somewhere she can confidently recommend.

Deb: I knew a shortcut. We passed the same bench three times.
Rosie: Was that the plan?
Deb: I wanted Sue to have a really lovely walk. Apparently I needed professional qualifications.
Rosie: Did you tell her?
Deb: Yes. She laughed. 'I've just been following you.' We chose a path together.
Rosie: And found?
Deb: That bench. We sat down and had a lovely chat. At last, somewhere I could confidently recommend.
